About the Artist
Heather Theurer

Heather Theurer knew, since early childhood, that pursuing a career in fine art was what her life-long dream would be. She has a love for all of God's creatures and goes to great lengths to observe and understand them before painting them. She loves nature and enjoys spending time outdoors. As well as painting from real life, Heather has found a great deal of creative freedom in painting fantastical creatures like dragons and fairies, drawing heavily on her wildlife and figurative painting background to bring them into the real world.

Although she paints in watercolor, acrylic, and works with graphite and charcoal, Heather's favorite medium is oils. Painting sizes range everywhere from 4X4 inches to 48X60 inches.

Heather is a mother to 5 children; and even though that is a full time job by itself, she always tries to find time to create something new. She enters competitions and shows regularly and keeps busy painting murals and trompe l'oeil on the side.
